
About Rabbi Silver
​Rabbi Silver became a believer in Messiah Yeshua in 1976. Mordecai was born in Philadelphia, PA. He was raised in a Conservative Jewish Synagogue. Had his Bar Mitzvah at the age of 13. He married Sharan Bradley just over 50 years ago. They moved to New Jersey where they adopted a boy and a girl. They moved to New Mexico. In 1993 Mordecai founded Etz Chayim-Tree of life Messianic Congregational and served it for 25 years, retiring in 2020. Mordecai had founded a ministry outreach to prisoners and continues that ministry through TOLMM-Tree of Life Messianic Ministries. Mordecai is one of the founders of JSI-Judaic Studies Institute. Today, Mordecai works with Rabbi Michelle Johns on updating JSI Yeshiva to make it more relevant in training Messianic leaders and offering classes for students who seek to increase their knowledge of what it means to be Messianic. He serves JSI Yeshiva as President, Chief Financial Officer, Beit Din Member, and Professor.
